The Planned Lifetime Advocacy Network (PLAN) Edmonton is a non-profit charitable organization with a core mission to assist families with a relative with a disability to plan for the future of their relative. We are a family directed organization that supports families through future planning consultations, information sessions and the development of a social network for their family member. We are affiliated with PLAN, formed twenty years ago by families in the Vancouver area, who is an internationally leader in supporting families and individuals with a disability to define their vision of a "good life". PLAN is the advocacy organization that initiated the Registered Disability Savings Plan and assisted with the facilitation of its acceptance by the Federal government.

For those who have a child or a relative with a disability this question - "Who will take care of our children when we are gone?" - is real and pressing. The families who founded PLAN searched and discovered solutions to securing the future for loved ones with disabilities.

Over time, the question changed from a 'after-we're-gone' focus and recognized that planning for the future changes the present. PLAN has evolved to find the many answers to: What does a good life look like for our relatives with disabilities? Find out more on our Plan For A Good Life pages.
